"Elana introduced me to yoga about 2 years ago, something I am extremely thankful for. I have been on a journey to be a healthier me and yoga has helped me besuccessful at it. I have a hip replacement, wrist and Achilles issues, Elana showed me options to work within my limitations and still benefit from yoga. Elana and yoga have helped me with flexibility, strength,inner peace and how to breathe. Elana has also, helped my wrist and Achilles by doing massage on them. Her massage relieved pain in both of these areas. I am truly blessed and thankful to have had Elana enter my life! Yoga is now something I look forward to and is a regular part of my life! "First of all, I was very sceptic about joining the yoga class, because I have tried a few test classes previously over the years. Everytime I was put off for one or the other reason (e.g. the classes were too large. Or the teacher didn't find me serious enough because I didn't want to become vegetarian. Or I found the teacher putting too much emphasis on the spiritual part of yoga, which for me, as a hard-core scientist, is a little too difficult to agree to). Anyways, I probably had all the wrong ideas about what yoga is or can be. Well, I decided to give Elana's class a go because I was looking for some more gentle exercise and I must say I was positively surprised. Yoga is actually hard work! But in a gentle way. I like the way Elana teaches her class. We were always max. 6 people, which enabled Elana to get around to everybody and make sure that we were doing the more complicated poses correctly. To me that was a quite important factor. Elana is also good at getting people to work at different levels. She most often has an alternative to make it either easier for the beginners in the class, or more challenging for the more experienced. Therefore, sometimes, it almost felt as if you were getting one-to-one training. Elana was always well prepared for the class and made new programmes quite regularly. Her exercise programmes was with main emphasis on the exercise and a balanced body work out, but also with time for some relaxation and reflection. After each class I always felt that I have used the whole body and I didn't realise that yoga can work your body so hard that you can actually feel it the next day! You will realise that you have muscles that you never knew of! Finally, I have been very pleased with Elanas yoga classes and it is with great sadness that we saw her go home to Oz.
