Our brains are like libraries, our thoughts, feelings and experiences are like books. We need to close the doors of the library so that the books can be processed, sorted and filed away into the correct places. Just like the library we need to give ourselves time and space to process, sort and file away our thoughts, feelings and experiences into the correct places. If they are not processed etc. then they can be stored in our bodies causing unease, stress or pain. You can give your brain time and space by practicing yoga, meditation and yoga nidra. Some people may hesitate coming along due to the word 'Yoga'. Yoga just means Union. The unity between movement and breath. We move whilst breathing in and out. Due to age / chronic illness / pain / stress / anxiety we sometimes breathe shallow and it is really healing to breathe deeply. Breathwork is so good for you. The movement we do is a bonus. It is gentle and will improve your circulation, range of motion, strength, flexibility and just make you feel better.
